An award??? For me???

This is my very first blog award. Thank you SOOOO much Tammy! You totally made my day!

Apparently, as a condition of the award, I now I have to sum up my blogging philosophy, motivation and experience in five words and pay it forward by nominating 10 Bloggers for the award.

Seriously???

Omigod...that's so not me. (And, no, that's not my philosophy in five words...)

The Story of 80 Sticks of Butter

A number of years ago, a dear friend of mine just starting on her weight loss journey was seeing a nutritionist. During the first week, my friend reported the loss of her first 2 pounds, saying, "Well, it's just 2 pounds," to which the nutritionist responded, "You sound like this is no big deal! Think of it this way - 1 pound equals 4 sticks of butter...so you just lost the equivalent of 8 sticks of butter!" Quite a unique way of looking at shedding pounds.

As of August 16, 2010, I have lost the equivalent of 80 sticks of butter (I'll let you do the math...) However, I still have many more sticks yet to lose. This is a record of my journey.
